HISTORY OF THE CO-OP The Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange was established in 1918 by six farmers along a railroad siding off Deefield Street in Greenfield. Their purpose was to purchase products, feed and fertilizer at the best possible prices. Today, The Exchange continues this mission with thousands of products for the farm, home, yard, garden and pets. The store moved to it’s present location in the 1970’s and has expanded many times since. There are now more than 500 members. MANAGEMENT The Greenfield Farmers Cooperative Exchange is governed by a nine- member Board of Directors elected by the membership, at the member annual meeting in March. Director terms are for three years. The operation is overseen on a daily basis by a manager who reports to the Board of Directors. Members are encouraged to communicate with management for specific pricing on farm products. BOARD OF DIRECTORS Ron Boyden, Conway Manager: Jeff
